Milestone Moments 2021-22
The past year has been another busy one for Salix Homes, here are just some of our milestone moments…

Our customers joined other tenants from across the north west to take part in the first Social Housing Tenants Climate Jury to speak out about tackling climate change.

We were very proud to retain our regulatory grading for Governance and Financial Viability from the Regulator of Social Housing, which regulates the social housing sector.

New homes started taking shape at our new social housing development in Partington, Trafford, which is our first development outside of Salford.

Ageing apartment block Bramley Meade was given a much-needed refresh as part of our multi-million-pound improvement programme to homes and communities across Salford.

Our kind-hearted staff organised a duvet collection for Christ Church in Pendleton for their homeless outreach programme to support roughsleepers during the cold winter months.

We awarded Sure Maintenance the contract to deliver our gas servicing, maintenance and repairs services to our customers for the next five years.

We secured a funding deal with banking partner Natwest to help finance our new Greenhaus development on Chapel Street.

We joined forces with Greater Manchester Police to clamp down on anti-social behaviour in the Kersal area as part of Operation Kinetic, when several arrests were made and stolen vehicles recovered.

Our CEO Sue Sutton joined Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham and other industry leaders to discuss climate change and plans for tackling the region’s energy crisis.

Salford schoolchildren helped us raise awareness of building site safety after designing posters to go on display at our Neighbourhood construction site in Seedley.

Our workforce rolled up their sleeves to help bring a neglected and overgrown allotment site back to its former glory and back into community use.

Salford City Mayor Paul Dennett hailed our new eco-friendly development Greenhaus as a benchmark for what other sustainable housing developments should be.
